Department of Public Works (DPW)

The Department of Public Works maintains the Village of Port Austin's streets, right-of-ways, and public infrastructure, and coordinates residential trash, recycling, and brush collection.

Trash & Recycling

• Pickup day: Monday
• Recycling is collected curbside. Contact the Village Hall (989-738-5199) if you need a recycling bin — each household is provided one Emterra bin.

Leaf & Brush

Seasonal leaf and brush collection is provided by the Village. Schedules are posted at the Village Hall and announced on this website. Please have brush at the curb by the posted pickup date.

Water & Sewer

Drinking water and sanitary sewer service are provided by the Port Austin Area Sewer & Water Authority (PAASWA), not the Village directly. For billing, turn-on/turn-off, and service questions:
