Port Austin Farmers Market

The Port Austin Farmers Market is a nationally recognized Saturday market on the downtown Village Green, widely cited as one of Michigan's best farmers markets. It runs Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., roughly May through late October, rain or shine, and features fresh produce, artisan breads and baked goods, meats, cut flowers, handcrafted goods, and art, along with a live-music series.

The market has built a row of permanent vendor stalls — small individual booths, compared by locals to a European Christmas market — so vendors can sell even in poor weather. Founded on Fourth-of-July weekend 2005 with about 50 vendors, the market now regularly hosts well over 100 vendors each Saturday and celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2025.
